Shipping Information

Discrete Packaging

All orders are shipped in plain brown boxes without any identifying markings. This is the default shipping method unless otherwise requested.

Processing Time

Most in-stock items are shipped within 48 hours of receipt of your order. Orders placed over the weekend are received and processed on Monday.

Free Shipping With 'Pick Up In Store'

Pick up in store is a free service that lets you ship your online order to our Garden Supply Guys retail store in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We will send you an email or call when your order is ready for pick up.

FedEx Freight for Large Orders

Items over 40lbs may be shipped by FedEx Frieght. This will be the only option when selecting shipping on those items. If you want to ship your order by freight but it's not an option at checkout, simply call us to place the order, or choose "Pick up in store" on the website and then call to arrange freight shipping after paying for the order.

Inspect Packages

Please inspect all shipments carefully for damaged or missing items before signing for them. Claims are often denied by the carrier after a shipment has been signed for. Please report any damages or missing items to us immediately.

Return Policy

We want you to enjoy shopping with us so much you won't even think of going anywhere else.

We strive to sell only the best equipment and supplies for the serious gardener. So if you run into any problems with damage during shipping, defects in product function, or you try out a tool and just don't like it, we'll always try to work with you and usually accept it back for a full refund.

These policies apply to anything purchased on GardenSupplyGuys.com. Different policies may be in place for purchases made through other online channels and in the retail store.

What can be returned?

  • We accept returns on all products unless otherwise noted here or in the product description within 30 days after the item is shipped to you. After that, please contact the manufacturer for warranty support.
  • Consumable products, such as liquids, powders, soils, and light bulbs, may only be returned if they were the wrong item or damaged on arrival and still unused.

What can't be returned?

  • Please inspect your grow tent carefully for any defects before using it. Grow tents are made of fabric that tends to get dirty or pick up odor during use, making them inappropriate for us to sell after a return. If it's been setup for use, or in any way not like new, we won't take it back.
  • We can't take back Grow Lights/Bulbs unless they were defective or damaged in shipping. If they were used for any period of time and were found to be defective, we will ask that you send the bulb to us for testing. If we determine that it was a defect or damaged before you received it, we will send another bulb or refund at our discretion.
  • Partially used consumable products won't be accepted for return at any point. There are so many factors involved in chemistry that can result in products working differently than you had expected. If you use nutrient solutions, cloning gels, organic pesticides, etc. and don't like the results, please let us know and we may be able to help you find a more appropriate product at a discount. We value your feedback on product quality because it's the best way for us to continue evaluating and improving the products we sell.

When do items need to be returned by?

  • We accept returns up to 30 days from the date we shipped the product to you.

How is a return done?

  • For all returns, please call us at 920-857-9493 to get instructions. Some products like liquids need to be returned differently than others and we don't want to cause any shipping headaches.

Restocking fee?

  • Though we do lose a little money when selling an opened package since it can't be sold as new, we don't charge a restocking fee. We try to carry the best products possible and think it's unfair to ask you to pay for any part of a product that you are sending back. We are thankful that our customers are generally honest and don't abuse this policy.

Who pays shipping for returns?

  • If we shipped the wrong item or it's damaged or defective, we are sorry for the hassle and will quickly supply you with a prepaid shipping label.
  • If the product is not damaged or defective, but just not what you expected, we still will accept durable products for a refund of the cost and shipping fee, but shipping back to us is not covered.
  • We don't accept returns or provide refunds on consumable products such as powders, liquids, soil, and light bulbs if they have been opened or used at all.
  • Grow Tents are also a special case, read above.

What if I need it really fast and can't wait for the return process?

  • We can charge you for another item and send it right away, then credit you for the returned item when we receive it.

Refund or store credit for returns?

  • We refund money to your credit card or other payment method that you used for the purchase.

In-store return option?

  • If you are in the area and want to return an item, you are welcome to bring it to our retail location.
  • Our current hours are Monday - Saturday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Closed Sunday.

  • If at all possible, please use the orginal packaging for returns. It's important to pack them well.
