Bonide Beetle Bagger Japanese Beetle Trap Kit
Bonide Beetle Bagger Japanese Beetle Trap Kit is an outdoor pest control trap designed to help reduce Japanese beetle pressure around lawns, gardens, ornamental plants, fruit trees, shrubs, and landscape areas. This easy-to-use trap uses a powerful dual-lure system that combines floral attractants with a sex pheromone to draw Japanese beetles into a secure disposable collection bag.
Once attracted to the trap, beetles fall through the vane assembly into the hourglass-shaped bag, where they are contained and unable to escape. The perforated disposable bag helps prevent rainwater from collecting, making cleanup simple—just remove the full bag and throw it away.
Key Benefits
Targets Japanese Beetles
Designed specifically to attract and trap destructive Japanese beetles before they continue feeding on roses, grapes, fruit trees, ornamentals, flowers, shrubs, and garden plants.
Dual-Action Floral & Pheromone Lure
Combines natural floral scents with a sex pheromone attractant to draw both male and female Japanese beetles.
Secure Disposable Collection Bag
The hourglass-shaped bag helps keep captured beetles contained while making disposal fast and easy.
Season-Long Protection
One trap can last throughout the active beetle season and cover up to 5,000 square feet when used according to label directions.
Easy Outdoor Setup
Includes trap vanes, lure, and disposable collection bags so you can set up quickly in yards, gardens, and landscape areas.
Great for Monitoring Beetle Activity
Use as part of an integrated pest management program to monitor and reduce adult Japanese beetle populations around problem areas.
How to Use Bonide Beetle Bagger
Assemble the Trap:
Follow the package directions to connect the trap vanes, attach the lure, and secure the disposable collection bag.
Hang at the Right Height:
Place the trap 3–5 feet above the ground using a pole, shepherd’s hook, stake, or sturdy hanging location.
Place Away from Valuable Plants:
For best results, hang the trap 10–25 feet downwind and away from the plants you want to protect. Do not place the trap directly inside roses, grapes, fruit trees, or ornamentals you are trying to save, as the lure may draw beetles toward those plants.
Check & Replace Bags:
Monitor the collection bag regularly. When full, remove the entire bag and dispose of it according to package directions.
Use as Part of a Larger Control Plan:
For heavy infestations, combine trapping with hand removal, plant monitoring, grub control, and other labeled Japanese beetle management methods.
Always read and follow the product label before use.
