Espoma Organic Garden Lime is a premium pelletized dolomitic limestone designed to raise acidic soil pH and help plants make better use of the nutrients already in your soil. Its fine, easy-spreading pellets apply cleanly, react quickly, and are safer to handle than hydrated lime, making it a dependable choice for vegetable gardens, flower beds, lawns, shrubs, trees, and landscape plantings.

By adjusting overly acidic soil toward a more neutral pH, Espoma Garden Lime helps improve nutrient availability and supports stronger plant growth. It also provides a natural source of calcium and magnesium, two important nutrients for overall plant health, strong cell structure, and productive garden crops.

Key Benefits

Raises Acidic Soil pH
Helps “sweeten” acidic soil so plants can better access nutrients from fertilizers and organic amendments.

Pelletized for Easy Application
Fine pellets spread evenly with less dust and easier handling than powdered lime.

Supports Nutrient Uptake
Improving soil pH helps unlock essential nutrients that may be less available in overly acidic soils.

Adds Calcium & Magnesium
Dolomitic limestone naturally supplies calcium and magnesium to help support healthy plant structure and growth.

Helps Turn Blue Hydrangeas Pink
Raising soil pH can naturally shift blue hydrangea blooms toward pink tones.

Approved for Organic Gardening
Made without sludges, fillers, or harsh chemicals and safe to use around people, pets, and garden spaces when applied as directed.

How to Use Espoma Organic Garden Lime

When to Apply:
Apply in early spring, late spring, or fall whenever a higher, less acidic soil pH is desired.

Garden Beds:
Broadcast evenly over the soil surface at 2.5–5 lbs per 100 square feet in the absence of a soil test. Water thoroughly after application.

Individual Plants:
Apply 2–4 tablespoons evenly under the plant canopy, extending out to and slightly beyond the drip line. Water thoroughly.

Hydrangeas:
Apply around blue hydrangeas when the goal is to raise soil pH and encourage pink flower color.

For best results, test your soil pH before applying lime and follow the product label for specific rate recommendations.
