Summit Mosquito Bits are a fast-acting biological larvicide designed to control mosquito larvae in standing water and fungus gnat larvae in plant soil. Made with Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis, commonly known as Bti, these easy-to-use corn cob granules release a targeted microbial larvicide that larvae consume, helping stop pests before they become flying adults.

Ideal for outdoor mosquito control and indoor plant pest management, Summit Mosquito Bits can be sprinkled over standing water or soaked in water to create a Bti “tea” for treating fungus gnat larvae in houseplant soil, seedling trays, propagation setups, greenhouses, and container gardens.

Key Benefits

Controls Mosquito Larvae Before They Bite
Sprinkle or broadcast Mosquito Bits over standing water where mosquitoes breed to target larvae before they mature into adult mosquitoes.

Helps Control Fungus Gnat Larvae in Soil
Soak the Bits in water to create a mosquito-bit tea, then water plants as directed to help kill fungus gnat larvae living in moist potting mix.

Fast-Acting Biological Control
Bti begins working quickly and can provide a fast knockdown of existing mosquito larvae when used according to label directions.

Targeted Larvicide Formula
Designed to affect mosquito and fungus gnat larvae while remaining safe for plants, people, pets, fish, birds, wildlife, and beneficial insects when applied as directed.

Great for Gardens, Greenhouses & Houseplants
Use around birdbaths, rain barrels, gutters, ponds, water gardens, plant saucers, propagation areas, houseplants, and container gardens.

OMRI Listed for Organic Production
Approved for use in organic gardening and organic production systems.

How to Use Summit Mosquito Bits

For Mosquito Larvae:
Sprinkle or broadcast granules over standing water where mosquitoes may breed, including birdbaths, rain barrels, gutters, water gardens, ponds, tree holes, and other areas that hold water.

For Fungus Gnat Larvae:
Soak Mosquito Bits in water to create a Bti tea, then use that water as a soil drench for houseplants, seedlings, propagation trays, and container plants.

Reapplication:
Reapply according to the product label, especially after fresh water enters treated areas or when ongoing mosquito pressure is present.

Best Practice:
Use alongside good moisture management, sticky traps for adult gnats, and regular removal of standing water for a more complete pest control program.

Always read and follow the product label before use.
