Active Aqua Root Spa 5 Gallon DWC Bucket System

The Active Aqua Root Spa is a deep water culture (DWC) hydroponic bucket system for growing plants in an aerated nutrient solution. Select the 1 Bucket, 4 Bucket, or 8 Bucket configuration to fit your space and the number of plants you want to grow.

How the Root Spa works

An included air pump sends air through a multipurpose hose to the bottom of each bucket. This oxygenates the nutrient solution around the roots without requiring air stones. Each bucket has a basket for hydroponic growing medium, and watertight fittings help contain the solution.

What is included?

The selected configuration includes the corresponding buckets and baskets, an air pump, air hose assemblies, tubing, and fittings. The multi-bucket versions use a multi-output air pump to serve the buckets.

Growing medium

Growing medium and nutrients are sold separately. Choose a hydroponic medium such as clay pebbles, perlite, rockwool mini cubes, or coco chips. Avoid soil, which can introduce particles and contaminants into a hydroponic system.
