Correct an overly acidic nutrient solution with Advanced Nutrients pH Up, a highly concentrated potassium-hydroxide formula designed to raise pH precisely and efficiently. Maintaining an appropriate pH range helps keep essential plant nutrients available to the roots and reduces the risk of nutrient lockout associated with excessively acidic conditions.

Advanced Nutrients pH Up provides stable pH control for hydroponics, coco coir, sphagnum-based media, and container gardens. Because the amount required depends on water quality, alkalinity, nutrient strength, and reservoir volume, it should always be added gradually while testing.

Key Benefits:

  • Quickly raises low nutrient-solution pH
  • Helps maintain conditions favorable for nutrient availability
  • Highly concentrated for economical, small-dose adjustment
  • Provides stable pH control between reservoir changes
  • Suitable for hydroponics, coco coir, and container growing
  • Compatible with DWC, NFT, aeroponics, drip irrigation, and flood-and-drain systems
  • Can be used during any plant-growth stage when adjustment is required
  • Compatible with Advanced Nutrients and other properly formulated nutrient programs

Guaranteed Analysis:

  • Total Nitrogen: 0%
  • Available Phosphate: 0%
  • Soluble Potash: 38%
  • N-P-K: 0-0-38
  • Primary Ingredient: Potassium hydroxide

The 0-0-38 analysis represents soluble potash and should not be interpreted as the exact percentage of potassium hydroxide in the bottle. pH Up is a pH-control product and not a replacement for a complete base fertilizer.

How to Use:

Always mix base nutrients and supplements into fresh water before adjusting pH.

  1. Mix the complete nutrient solution thoroughly.
  2. Measure the solution using a calibrated pH meter.
  3. If the pH is too low, add a very small amount of pH Up while stirring or circulating the reservoir.
  4. Allow the solution to mix and stabilize completely.
  5. Test again and repeat only when necessary.

Manufacturer Target Ranges:

  • Hydroponic Nutrient Solutions: pH 5.5–5.8
  • Sphagnum-Based Media and Container Plants: pH 6.2–6.3

Always consider the requirements of the specific crop and growing medium. Check pH daily for best results. Prepare fresh reservoir solutions weekly, monitor coco-fed plants daily, and check other substrates several times per week as needed.

Using pH Up with Other Advanced Nutrients Products:

  • Base Nutrients and Supplements: Mix every fertilizer and additive into water first, then measure and adjust the final solution.
  • pH Perfect Nutrients: Allow the complete solution to stabilize before testing. Add pH Up only when an adjustment is actually required.
  • pH Down: Never combine pH Up and pH Down directly or add both concentrates simultaneously.
  • pH Meters: Use a properly calibrated digital meter or reliable testing kit for every adjustment.
  • Calibration Solutions: Calibrate and maintain electronic meters according to the meter manufacturer’s directions.

Safety Information:

DANGER: Concentrated potassium hydroxide is caustic and can cause severe skin burns and eye damage.

  • Read the product label and current Safety Data Sheet before use.
  • Wear chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and appropriate eye or face protection.
  • Work in a well-ventilated area and avoid breathing mist or spray.
  • Add pH Up slowly to water or a diluted nutrient solution while mixing.
  • Never add water directly into the concentrated product.
  • Never combine with pH Down, acids, or undiluted fertilizers.
  • Keep tightly closed in its original container and store upright in a cool, dry, ventilated area.
  • Keep locked up and out of reach of children and pets.
  • Not for use as food or animal feed.
