Botanicare SeaPlex Cold-Processed Seaweed 0.01-0-0
Botanicare SeaPlex 0.01-0-0 is a cold-processed liquid seaweed supplement made with North Atlantic brown kelp (Ascophyllum nodosum). Its gentle, low-nitrogen formula complements a complete plant-food program while supplying naturally occurring seaweed compounds valued for root development, vegetative growth, flowering, and overall plant vigor.
SeaPlex can be applied through the root zone or as a foliar spray and is suitable for hydroponic systems, coco coir, soilless media, soil, and container gardens. It can be used with leafy plants, vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, seedlings, and established plants.

How to Use Botanicare SeaPlex
Shake well before use.
- Root-zone feeding: Mix 1 teaspoon (5 mL) per gallon of water or nutrient solution.
- Application timing: Use throughout the active growth cycle according to plant needs and the Botanicare feeding schedule.
- Foliar application: Mix 1 tablespoon (15 mL) per gallon of water.
- Foliar pH: Mix thoroughly and adjust the spray solution to pH 6.2–7.0 before application.
- Mixing: Add SeaPlex to water separately from other concentrates. Add the remaining nutrients and supplements one at a time, mix thoroughly, and adjust the final pH last.
Foliar Application Tips
- Apply during the cooler portion of the day or light cycle.
- Mist foliage evenly, including the undersides of leaves, without creating excessive runoff.
- Test the diluted spray on a small area before treating the entire crop.
- Avoid spraying under intense lights, direct midday sun, or excessive heat.
- Avoid foliar applications late in flowering when dense flowers can retain unwanted moisture.
Recommended Applications
- Seedlings, rooted cuttings, and transplants
- Vegetative and mother plants
- Flowering and fruiting crops
- Hydroponic and drain-to-waste systems
- Coco coir and soilless mixes
- Soil and container gardens
Important Growing Note
SeaPlex is a plant supplement rather than a complete fertilizer. Its 0.01-0-0 analysis does not supply the full range or quantity of nutrients required for complete plant development. Use it alongside an appropriate base nutrient and monitor plant response, root-zone pH, and nutrient strength.
