Hull Farm Cocoa Shell Mulch is an organic mulching material made from the outer shell of the cocoa bean. It breaks down slowly without disappearing into the soil, helping to reduce weeds, conserve water, insulate during winter, and enrich the soil with nutrients.
With an approximate fertilizer value of 2.5-1-3, it will not burn vegetation. This mulch features a natural color and a pleasant cocoa aroma, making it both functional and decorative.

How do I use Cocoa Shell Mulch?

Spread by hand or rake. Ideally, the mulch material should be evenly spread 2" thick on top of the soil surface.
- Lightly pack down the mulch material.
- Water the mulch thoroughly. This helps to activate the natural gumming and moisture retention properties.
- Maintenance: Replenishing, or adding small amounts of mulch, to existing mulch from time-to-time may be needed, as this is a naturally decaying, 100% natural product.
