Down To Earth Granular Humic Acids Organic Soil Amendment
Down To Earth Granular Humic Acids are a highly concentrated natural soil amendment made from Leonardite, an ancient source of decomposed organic plant matter rich in humic substances. Designed to improve soil fertility, nutrient availability, microbial activity, and moisture retention, this premium organic amendment helps create healthier soil for stronger plants, deeper roots, and better long-term garden performance.
Humic acids help improve the soil’s ability to hold and exchange nutrients, making essential minerals and micronutrients more available to plant roots. By supporting cation exchange capacity, soil structure, and microbial life, Down To Earth Granular Humic Acids are an excellent choice for vegetable gardens, flower beds, raised beds, lawns, containers, trees, shrubs, compost, and living soil systems.
The coarse granular format is easy to apply, mix into soil, or broadcast over larger areas, making it ideal for both home gardeners and professional growers looking to build better soil naturally.

Why Use Humic Acids?
Humic acids are valued by gardeners and growers because they help improve the soil environment around plant roots. Instead of acting like a traditional NPK fertilizer, humic acids work by improving how nutrients, minerals, water, and microorganisms interact in the soil.
This helps plants make better use of existing nutrients while supporting healthier root zones, improved soil biology, and long-term fertility.
Supports Better Nutrient Uptake
Down To Earth Granular Humic Acids help bind and hold positively charged nutrients in the soil, improving nutrient retention and availability. This can help reduce nutrient loss from leaching while making micronutrients more accessible to plant roots.
For gardens, raised beds, and containers, this means your fertilizer program can work more efficiently while supporting stronger overall plant performance.
Improves Soil Structure & Moisture Retention
As Granular Humic Acids break down slowly, they contribute stable organic matter that helps improve soil texture, water infiltration, and moisture-holding capacity. This is especially beneficial for sandy soils that drain too quickly or compacted soils that need better aeration and structure.
Better soil structure supports healthier roots, improved drainage, and more consistent access to moisture.
Feeds Beneficial Soil Microbes
Healthy soil depends on active microbial life. Humic acids provide a carbon-rich food source that helps support beneficial bacteria, fungi, and other soil organisms. This microbial activity plays an important role in nutrient cycling, organic matter breakdown, and overall soil fertility.
Application Guide
Vegetable Gardens & Flower Beds
Mix 1 to 2 lbs per 100 square feet into the top 3 inches of soil in spring or fall.
Lawns
Apply 5 to 10 lbs per 1,000 square feet in spring and fall, then water thoroughly.
Containers
For new plantings, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil. For established plants, lightly mix 1 to 2 teaspoons per gallon of soil into the surface every other month and water in well.
Trees & Shrubs
Mix into the soil around the root zone or apply around the base of the plant, working outward toward the drip line. Water thoroughly after application.
