Emerald Harvest Grow 2-1-6 is the nitrogen- and potassium-rich vegetative component of the Emerald Harvest Grow, Micro, Bloom Professional 3-Part Nutrient Series. It supports vigorous roots, sturdy stems, productive branching, healthy foliage, and the structural development plants need before carrying flowers and fruit.

Its flexible three-part design allows experienced growers to adjust Grow, Micro, and Bloom independently as plant requirements change. Grow supplies nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur, while the separate Micro formula provides calcium and chelated micronutrients.

Important: This Listing Is for Grow Only

This product listing includes Emerald Harvest Grow 2-1-6 only.

Emerald Harvest Micro and Bloom are required to create the complete three-part nutrient program and are sold separately. Grow is not intended to provide complete base nutrition by itself.

Use Grow with stage-specific amounts of Micro and Bloom according to the Emerald Harvest feeding chart.

Key Benefits

  • Vegetative-stage nutrition: Supports vigorous roots, stems, branches, and foliage.
  • Potassium-rich 2-1-6 formula: Supports water regulation, nutrient transport, enzyme activity, and plant metabolism.
  • Balanced nitrogen sources: Supplies ammoniacal and nitrate nitrogen for active plant development.
  • Root-development support: Phosphorus contributes to energy transfer, cell division, and root growth.
  • Magnesium nutrition: Supports chlorophyll formation, photosynthesis, and enzyme activity.
  • Sulfur support: Contributes to proteins, enzymes, and other essential plant compounds.
  • Flexible three-part control: Allows growers to change Grow, Micro, and Bloom ratios throughout the crop cycle.
  • Full-cycle role: Used heavily during vegetative growth, reduced during flowering, and reintroduced at a low rate during final ripening.
  • Hydroponic compatibility: Suitable for growing media used in recirculating and drain-to-waste systems.

Nutrient Sources

Emerald Harvest Grow is derived from:

  • Potassium sulfate
  • Monopotassium phosphate
  • Potassium nitrate
  • Monoammonium phosphate
  • Magnesium nitrate
  • Ammonium nitrate
  • Ammonium sulfate
  • Magnesium sulfate

These mineral sources provide the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur that complement the calcium and micronutrients supplied by Emerald Harvest Micro.

How Grow Supports Plant Development

Each nutrient in Emerald Harvest Grow performs an important function:

  • Nitrogen: Supports chlorophyll, amino acids, proteins, enzymes, and new plant tissue.
  • Phosphorus: Contributes to energy transfer, root activity, cell division, and reproductive development.
  • Potassium: Supports water movement, nutrient transport, carbohydrate movement, and enzyme activation.
  • Magnesium: Forms the central atom of chlorophyll and supports photosynthesis.
  • Sulfur: Contributes to amino acids, proteins, enzymes, and essential plant compounds.

Grow supplies only part of the required nutrient profile. Micro provides calcium and chelated micronutrients, while Bloom supplies additional phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur for flowering.

How the Three-Part System Works

The Emerald Harvest three-part program separates plant nutrition into three adjustable components:

  • Grow 2-1-6: Supplies nitrogen and potassium for vigorous vegetative and structural development.
  • Micro 5-0-1: Provides nitrogen, calcium, and chelated micronutrients throughout the crop cycle.
  • Bloom 0-5-4: Supplies phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and sulfur for flowering, fruiting, and ripening.

The components are used at different rates rather than equal amounts. Follow the Emerald Harvest chart unless you have the experience and crop data needed to formulate a customized program.

Official Grow Application Rates

The Emerald Harvest three-part feeding chart recommends the following amount of Grow per gallon of water:

  • Seedlings and Cuttings: 2 mL per gallon
  • Transplants: 4 mL per gallon
  • Early Vegetative Growth: 6 mL per gallon
  • Late Vegetative Growth: 8 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Week 1 – Transition: 4 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Weeks 2–3 – Early Flowering: 2 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Weeks 4–5 – Mid Flowering: 2 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Weeks 6–7 – Late Flowering: Discontinue Grow
  • Flowering Week 8 – Ripening: Do not apply Grow
  • Flowering Week 9 – Final Ripening: Reintroduce Grow at 2 mL per gallon

These are Grow rates only. Add the corresponding amounts of Emerald Harvest Micro and Bloom shown on the official three-part feeding chart.

To extend the vegetative phase, repeat one or more late-vegetative weeks. To extend flowering, repeat one or more mid-flowering weeks while following the complete three-part ratios.

Correct Mixing Instructions

  1. Shake each nutrient container thoroughly before measuring.
  2. Fill the reservoir or watering container with fresh water.
  3. Add Emerald Harvest Micro first and mix thoroughly.
  4. Add the required amount of Emerald Harvest Grow.
  5. Mix again until Grow is completely dispersed.
  6. Add Emerald Harvest Bloom at its stage-specific rate.
  7. Add compatible supplements individually, mixing between additions.
  8. Check the completed solution’s EC or PPM and pH before feeding.

Never combine undiluted Grow, Micro, and Bloom concentrates directly. Always dilute Micro into fresh water before adding Grow or Bloom.

Water Temperature and pH

Emerald Harvest recommends:

  • Nutrient-solution temperature: 60–72°F
  • Final pH after mixing: 5.8–6.3

Complete the nutrient mixture before making final pH adjustments. Add pH adjusters gradually and test between additions.

Grow Does Not Contain the Complete Micronutrient Package

The overall Grow, Micro, Bloom system supplies chelated iron, copper, manganese, and zinc, but those elements are concentrated in the separate Micro component—not in Grow.

Using Grow without Micro can leave plants without adequate calcium and essential micronutrients. Always include Micro at the stage-specific rate shown on the feeding chart.

Growing Media and System Compatibility

The Emerald Harvest three-part feeding chart is suitable for growing media used in:

  • Recirculating hydroponic systems
  • Drain-to-waste systems
  • Coco coir
  • Rockwool
  • Deep water culture
  • Flood-and-drain systems
  • Drip irrigation and fertigation
  • Other hydroponic and soilless applications

Adjust feeding strength according to plant variety, source water, growing medium, environmental conditions, and system design.

Using It With Emerald Harvest Supplements

Emerald Harvest Grow, Micro, and Bloom may be incorporated into a feeding program with stage-appropriate products such as Emerald Goddess, King Kola, Honey Chome, Root Wizard, Cal-Mag, and Sturdy Stalk.

Follow the official feeding chart and monitor total EC or PPM when combining multiple products. Emerald Harvest recommends applying Cal-Mag and Sturdy Stalk on water-only days and not using both during the same watering.

Important Usage Notes

  • This listing includes Emerald Harvest Grow only.
  • Micro and Bloom are required and sold separately.
  • Grow is not a complete stand-alone fertilizer.
  • The chelated micronutrient package is supplied by Micro, not Grow.
  • Always dilute Micro into fresh water before adding Grow or Bloom.
  • Never combine undiluted nutrient concentrates.
  • Measure all three components independently according to the crop stage.
  • Monitor plant response, source water, EC or PPM, and root-zone conditions.
  • Store tightly sealed under normal conditions.
