Emerald Harvest Micro 5-0-1 is the foundational micronutrient component of the professional Grow, Micro and Bloom three-part base nutrient series. Used throughout vegetative growth and flowering, Micro supplies nitrogen, potassium, calcium and chelated trace elements needed for healthy foliage, strong cell development, chlorophyll production and efficient plant metabolism.

Its concentrated mineral formula allows growers to adjust the proportions of Grow, Micro and Bloom as plant requirements change. Micro must be diluted into fresh water before the other base nutrients to help maintain mineral availability and prevent concentrated fertilizer salts from reacting with one another.

What This Listing Includes

This listing is for Emerald Harvest Micro only. Emerald Harvest Grow and Emerald Harvest Bloom are sold separately.

Micro is one component of a three-part fertilizer system. Use it with the appropriate amounts of Grow and Bloom to provide complete base nutrition. Micro should not be used as a stand-alone fertilizer.

Key Benefits

  • Foundational three-part component: Provides the micronutrient and calcium base for the Grow, Micro and Bloom program.
  • Full-cycle nutrition: Remains part of the feeding program from seedlings and cuttings through final ripening.
  • Nitrogen support: Promotes chlorophyll formation, leafy development and essential metabolic processes.
  • Calcium foundation: Supports cell-wall formation, structural strength and healthy new growth.
  • Chelated micronutrients: EDTA-chelated iron, copper, manganese and zinc help keep trace elements available for root uptake.
  • Additional trace elements: Supplies boron, molybdenum and cobalt as part of its comprehensive mineral profile.
  • Flexible feeding ratios: Allows experienced growers to adjust Grow, Micro and Bloom proportions for different plant stages and cultivars.
  • Hydroponic performance: Formulated for precise mineral nutrition in recirculating and drain-to-waste systems.

Guaranteed Analysis and Ingredients

  • N-P-K: 5-0-1
  • Primary nutrients: Nitrogen and soluble potassium
  • Secondary nutrient: Calcium
  • Chelated micronutrients: Iron EDTA, copper EDTA, manganese EDTA and zinc EDTA
  • Additional trace elements: Boron
  • Additional trace elements: Bor, molybdenum and cobalt
  • Product type: Liquid mineral base nutrient component

Micro is derived from ammonium calcium nitrate double salt, potassium nitrate, urea, cobalt nitrate, iron EDTA, sodium borate, sodium molybdate, copper EDTA, manganese EDTA and zinc EDTA.

Magnesium and sulfur are supplied through other components of the complete Grow, Micro and Bloom system rather than by Micro alone.

How Micro Functions in the Three-Part System

Each component performs a different role within the Emerald Harvest feeding program:

  • Micro 5-0-1: Supplies nitrogen, calcium and the system’s chelated micronutrient foundation.
  • Grow 2-1-6: Provides vegetative-stage nitrogen, potassium, magnesium and sulfur.
  • Bloom 0-5-4: Supplies flowering-stage phosphorus, potassium, magnesium and sulfur.

The proportions change throughout the crop cycle. Grow is emphasized during vegetative development, Bloom increases during flowering and Micro remains present throughout the standard program.

Official Application Rates

The Emerald Harvest three-part feed chart recommends the following Micro rates:

  • Seedlings and Cuttings: 0.5 mL per liter or 2 mL per gallon
  • Transplants: 0.5 mL per liter or 2 mL per gallon
  • Early Vegetative Growth: 0.75 mL per liter or 3 mL per gallon
  • Late Vegetative Growth: 1 mL per liter or 4 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Week 1 – Transition: 1 mL per liter or 4 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Weeks 2–3 – Early Flowering: 1 mL per liter or 4 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Weeks 4–5 – Mid Flowering: 1.25 mL per liter or 5 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Weeks 6–7 – Late Flowering: 1.5 mL per liter or 6 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Week 8 – Ripening: 1 mL per liter or 4 mL per gallon
  • Flowering Week 9 – Final Ripening: 0.5 mL per liter or 2 mL per gallon

These rates are intended for use with the corresponding Grow and Bloom amounts shown on the Emerald Harvest feed chart. Monitor plant response and total solution strength when following an aggressive feeding program.

Correct Mixing Order

  1. Shake the container thoroughly before measuring.
  2. Fill the reservoir or watering container with fresh water.
  3. Add the measured amount of Micro first.
  4. Mix thoroughly until Micro is completely dispersed.
  5. Add Grow at the appropriate rate and mix again.
  6. Add Bloom separately and mix thoroughly.
  7. Add compatible supplements individually, mixing between additions.
  8. Check the completed solution’s EC or PPM.
  9. Test and adjust the final pH after all nutrients have been mixed.

Never combine Micro, Grow and Bloom concentrates directly. Each component must be diluted into water separately.

pH and Water Recommendations

Emerald Harvest recommends a final nutrient-solution pH between 5.8 and 6.3 after all nutrients have been added. The manufacturer’s preferred water-temperature range is 60–72°F.

Avoid making the final pH adjustment before adding the nutrients because fertilizers can significantly change the solution’s pH. Mix the complete fertilizer solution first, allow it to stabilize and then adjust as needed.

Using It With Supplements

Complete the Grow, Micro and Bloom mixing sequence before adding Emerald Harvest supplements such as Emerald Goddess, King Kola, Honey Chome or Root Wizard. Add every supplement individually and mix thoroughly before introducing the next product.

When using Cal-Mag or Sturdy Stalk, follow the current Emerald Harvest chart. The manufacturer advises against using Cal-Mag and Sturdy Stalk in the same watering session.

Growing Media and System Compatibility

Emerald Harvest Micro is suitable for properly managed:

  • Recirculating hydroponic systems
  • Drain-to-waste systems
  • Coco coir
  • Rockwool and other inert media
  • Deep water culture
  • Flood-and-drain systems
  • Drip irrigation and fertigation
  • Soil and soilless container gardens

Adjust concentration according to plant maturity, cultivar sensitivity, source-water mineral content and the total EC or PPM of the finished solution.

Important Usage Notes

  • This product is Micro only; Grow and Bloom are sold separately.
  • Use Micro with the appropriate Grow and Bloom components for complete base nutrition.
  • Always add Micro to fresh water before Grow or Bloom.
  • Never premix concentrated fertilizer components.
  • Make the final pH adjustment after the complete nutrient solution has been mixed.
  • Monitor EC or PPM, pH, water temperature and plant response.
  • Store tightly sealed under normal indoor storage conditions.
  • Protect the product from freezing, excessive heat and direct sunlight.
  • The manufacturer lists a shelf life of three years or more when stored under normal conditions.
