Support a more efficient root zone with FoxFarm Bush Doctor Kangaroots. This liquid root drench combines immediately available plant nutrition with beneficial mycorrhizal fungi, bacteria and other soil microorganisms formulated for seedlings, transplants and mature plants.

Kangaroots helps support biological activity in the rhizosphere—the active area surrounding plant roots. When used as directed, it may improve root efficiency, nutrient uptake and water absorption throughout vegetative growth and flowering.

With its gentle 0.8-0.1-0.03 nutrient analysis, Kangaroots can be incorporated into soil, container and recirculating hydroponic feeding programs without replacing the plant’s regular base fertilizer.

Key benefits:

  • Helps improve root efficiency in the rhizosphere
  • Contains beneficial mycorrhizal fungi and bacterial species
  • Supports improved nutrient uptake and water absorption
  • Provides immediately available macro and micronutrients
  • Supplies additional sulfur, manganese and zinc
  • Suitable for seedlings, established plants and transplants
  • Can be used throughout vegetative and flowering growth
  • Compatible with soil, soilless media and recirculating hydroponics

Guaranteed analysis:

  • Total Nitrogen: 0.80%
  • Available Phosphate: 0.10%
  • Soluble Potash: 0.03%
  • Sulfur: 1.00%
  • Manganese: 0.50%
  • Zinc: 0.25%

Derived from:

Earthworm castings, magnesium sulfate, manganese sulfate, copper sulfate, zinc sulfate and soy protein hydrolysate.

How to use:

In-ground gardens and container plantings:

Mix 2 teaspoons (10 mL) per gallon of fresh water. Thoroughly drench the soil or growing medium. Apply every other week during vegetative and flowering growth, with particular emphasis on the earlier stages of plant development.

Recirculating hydroponic systems:

Mix ½ teaspoon (2.5 mL) per gallon of fresh reservoir water. Use alongside an appropriate nutrient program and flush the system every two weeks.

Shake well before use. For maximum microbial activity, store in a cool location away from direct sunlight and use within two years of the manufacturer’s stamped date.

Using Kangaroots with other FoxFarm products:

Kangaroots is a root-zone inoculant and nutritional supplement rather than a complete base fertilizer. It can be incorporated into a broader FoxFarm feeding program according to the appropriate feeding schedule.

  • Big Bloom: Provides gentle, organic-based nutrition and complements the biological root-zone support supplied by Kangaroots.
  • Grow Big: Supplies the stronger nitrogen and mineral nutrition needed for vegetative growth while Kangaroots supports root efficiency.
  • Tiger Bloom: Provides bloom-focused phosphorus nutrition while Kangaroots continues supporting the root zone during flowering.
  • Microbe Brew: Both products support biological activity, but they have different formulations. Use them according to the FoxFarm feeding schedule instead of assuming they are interchangeable.
  • Boomerang: Boomerang is intended for plant recovery after stress. When performing a hydroponic Boomerang recovery treatment, FoxFarm directs growers to use Boomerang without other fertilizers for the first two to three days, so Kangaroots should be temporarily paused.
  • SledgeHammer: Use SledgeHammer separately as a root-zone rinse for mineral salt buildup. After completing the flush, refill with fresh water and resume the appropriate nutrient and Kangaroots schedule.
  • Coco Loco, Happy Frog and Ocean Forest: Kangaroots can be used with these amended FoxFarm potting mixes when supplemental feeding begins. Start conservatively and adjust according to plant response.

When combining multiple FoxFarm products, begin with fresh water, add each product separately and follow the appropriate FoxFarm feeding schedule.
