General Hydroponics Armor Si™ 0-0-4 is a soluble silicon plant supplement designed to reinforce plant cell walls, support upright growth and improve resilience during challenging environmental conditions. How Armor Si Works
Armor Si supplies soluble silicon that becomes incorporated into plant tissue. This structural reinforcement helps plants maintain their stature and withstand demanding growing conditions while supporting healthy leaves, stems, flowers and fruit.
Armor Si is a supplement rather than a complete fertilizer. Continue using an appropriate base nutrient program for your plants and growing medium.
Application Rates

General use: Mix 1–2 mL per gallon of water during vegetative growth and early flowering.

High-demand programs: Rates may be increased up to 5 mL per gallon when supported by the product label or feeding schedule. Monitor EC and plant response carefully.
Important Mixing Order
- Begin with fresh irrigation water.
- Add Armor Si first and mix thoroughly.
- Add your base nutrients one at a time, mixing between additions.
- Add any remaining supplements.
- Check and adjust pH only after the complete nutrient solution has been mixed.
Never add concentrated Armor Si directly to other nutrient concentrates. Silicon is highly reactive in concentrated form and incorrect mixing can cause precipitation, reducing nutrient availability.
Always follow the product label and your applicable feeding chart. Start conservatively when introducing Armor Si and adjust according to plant response, water quality, growing medium and overall nutrient strength.
