General Hydroponics pH Up is a liquid pH-adjusting solution formulated with potassium hydroxide and potassium carbonate. It helps raise nutrient-solution pH when it falls below the desired range, allowing growers to maintain suitable conditions for nutrient availability and plant uptake.
Designed for hydroponic and continuous liquid-feeding programs, pH Up allows careful, incremental adjustments after nutrients have been completely mixed. Many hydroponic programs operate within a pH range of approximately 5.5 to 6.5, although the correct target depends on the crop, growing medium, and feeding program.

How to Use pH Up
- Add and thoroughly mix all plant nutrients and compatible supplements into fresh water.
- Test the completed nutrient solution using a calibrated pH meter or reliable test kit.
- If the pH is too low, add a very small amount of pH Up to the diluted nutrient solution.
- Stir or circulate the solution thoroughly.
- Test the pH again and repeat in small increments until the desired level is reached.
Important: There is no universal per-gallon application rate. The amount required depends on source-water quality, reservoir volume, nutrient concentration, and starting pH. Always add gradually and test between adjustments.
