NPK Industries RAW Amino Acids 7-0-0 is a highly concentrated, completely water-soluble plant supplement made from L-Glycine and L-Glutamic Acid. This uncut, technical-grade powder contains no added fillers or artificial dyes and integrates easily into soil, coco coir, hydroponic and foliar feeding programs.

Amino acids are fundamental building blocks used by plants to produce proteins and enzymes. RAW Amino Acids provides a targeted source of these compounds along with 7% water-soluble nitrogen to complement an appropriate base fertilizer throughout vegetative growth and flowering.

Key Benefits

  • Two targeted amino acids: Formulated from L-Glycine and L-Glutamic Acid.
  • Completely water-soluble: Dissolves cleanly for use in reservoirs, irrigation solutions and sprayers.
  • Concentrated 7-0-0 analysis: Supplies 7% water-soluble nitrogen.
  • No fillers or dyes: Provides an uncut, technical-grade formula without unnecessary additives.
  • Protein and enzyme support: Supplies amino-acid building blocks involved in essential plant processes.
  • Nutrient-program flexibility: Can supplement calcium, micronutrient and complete fertilizer programs.
  • Full-cycle application: Suitable from seedlings through vegetative growth and flowering.
  • Multiple application methods: Compatible with root drenches, reservoirs and properly prepared foliar sprays.
  • Broad system compatibility: Works in soil, coco coir, hydroponics and custom commercial feeding programs.

RAW Amino Acids is a supplement rather than a complete fertilizer. Plants still require an appropriate supply of phosphorus, potassium, secondary nutrients and micronutrients.

How Amino Acids Support Plants

Plants use amino acids to construct proteins, enzymes and other compounds involved in growth and metabolism. Providing selected amino acids in soluble form can complement the compounds plants produce through their normal biological processes.

L-Glycine and L-Glutamic Acid may support:

  • Protein and enzyme formation
  • Chlorophyll-related plant processes
  • Nitrogen metabolism
  • Mineral transport and availability
  • Recovery following environmental stress
  • Root and foliage development
  • Efficient use of a balanced fertilizer program

RAW Amino Acids does not function as a plant-growth regulator, pesticide or treatment for plant disease.

Root-Zone Application Rate

For reservoirs, irrigation solutions and root drenches:

  • Standard Rate: Add ⅛–¼ teaspoon per gallon of water.
  • Weight Equivalent: Approximately 0.6–1.25 grams per gallon.
  • Per-Liter Equivalent: Approximately 0.16–0.33 grams per liter.
  • Application Frequency: Apply as needed according to plant response and the overall feeding program.

Begin at the lower rate for seedlings, sensitive plants or fertilizer programs that already supply significant amino-acid nitrogen.

Foliar Application

The manufacturer identifies RAW Amino Acids as compatible with foliar feeding but does not publish a separate foliar concentration on its current product page.

Follow the application rate printed on the current package label. Before treating an entire crop:

  1. Dissolve the powder completely in clean water.
  2. Test the prepared spray on a small area.
  3. Observe the treated foliage before expanding the application.
  4. Apply during an appropriate low-light period.
  5. Provide sufficient airflow so foliage can dry properly.

Do not assume that the reservoir rate is automatically appropriate for every foliar application.

Recommended Mixing Instructions

  1. Fill the reservoir or mixing container with fresh water.
  2. Measure RAW Amino Acids carefully.
  3. Pre-dissolve the powder in a small amount of clean water.
  4. Stir until no visible particles remain.
  5. Add the dissolved mixture to the reservoir.
  6. Add base fertilizers in their required mixing sequence.
  7. Add other compatible supplements individually.
  8. Mix thoroughly between every addition.
  9. Check the completed solution’s EC or PPM and pH before feeding.

Never mix dry fertilizer powders together unless their compatibility has been confirmed. Dissolve each concentrated product separately before combining it in the reservoir.

Using It With Calcium and Mineral Programs

RAW Amino Acids is commonly incorporated into calcium and micronutrient programs because amino acids can interact with mineral ions and support their movement within nutrient solutions and plants.

RAW Amino Acids does not contain calcium or magnesium. It should be used alongside—not in place of—a properly balanced calcium, magnesium and micronutrient source when those minerals are required.

Account for the product’s 7% nitrogen analysis when calculating the total fertilizer concentration. Excessive use may add more nitrogen than intended, particularly during late flowering.

Growing Media and System Compatibility

RAW Amino Acids is suitable for properly managed:

  • Hydroponic reservoirs
  • Coco coir
  • Soil and soilless mixes
  • Deep water culture
  • Nutrient film technique
  • Aeroponics
  • Flood-and-drain systems
  • Drip irrigation and fertigation
  • Hand-watered container gardens
  • Foliar feeding programs
  • Custom fertilizer recipes

Monitor filtration and irrigation equipment whenever introducing a new powdered supplement, even when the product is fully water-soluble.

Safety and Handling

The manufacturer’s SDS does not classify RAW Amino Acids as a hazardous material. However, airborne powder or direct contact may cause irritation.

  • Avoid breathing concentrated dust.
  • Wear a dust mask when handling large quantities.
  • Safety glasses or goggles are recommended.
  • Avoid contact with the eyes.
  • Wash hands after handling.
  • Keep away from children and pets.
  • Do not ingest.

If the powder enters the eyes, rinse with clean water. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.

Storage Recommendations

  • Store tightly sealed in the original container.
  • Keep in a cool, dry area.
  • Protect from moisture and humidity.
  • Keep away from excessive heat, flame and direct sunlight.
  • Use a clean, dry measuring utensil.
  • Reseal immediately after measuring to prevent clumping.
  • Dispose of unused material according to applicable regulations.

Important Usage Notes

  • RAW Amino Acids is a supplement, not a complete fertilizer.
  • The guaranteed analysis is 7-0-0.
  • Account for its nitrogen when calculating total fertilizer strength.
  • Start at the lower rate for seedlings and sensitive plants.
  • Dissolve completely before adding it to a reservoir or sprayer.
  • Follow the current package label for foliar dilution.
  • Monitor EC or PPM, pH and plant response.
  • Do not use as a pesticide or plant-disease treatment.
