NPK Industries RAW Microbes Bloom Stage is a concentrated microbial inoculant formulated specifically for flowering and fruiting plants. Its high-CFU blend of beneficial bacteria, actinobacteria and fungi helps establish a biologically active rhizosphere during the crop’s demanding reproductive stage.
The suspension-forming powder contains microorganisms from the Bacillus, Paenibacillus, Pseudomonas, Streptomycetes and Trichoderma groups. These organisms support nutrient cycling, organic-matter processing and root-zone biological diversity in soil, coco coir and compatible hydroponic systems.

Every RAW Microbes blend is tested twice: once at the individual culture or species level and again after the complete blend has been produced. This testing is intended to verify microbial identity and viability.

How Bloom-Stage Microbes Work
Beneficial microorganisms colonize the rhizosphere—the biologically active area immediately surrounding plant roots. Within this environment, different organisms participate in organic-matter decomposition, mineral transformation and microbial interactions.
RAW Microbes Bloom Stage supports these biological processes during flowering and fruiting, when plants have substantial nutrient and energy demands. The product complements an appropriate base fertilizer but does not directly supply complete mineral nutrition.
Solution Application
For root-zone irrigation or reservoir application:
- Mix 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per gallon of water or prepared nutrient solution.
- Apply every one to two weeks during flowering and fruiting.
- Begin with the lower rate when introducing the inoculant into a new program.
- Use the mixed solution promptly.
The product forms a microbial suspension. Some visible suspended material may remain even after thorough mixing.
Dry Growing-Media Application
For established plants:
- Spread 1/2 to 1 teaspoon around the base of the plant.
- Distribute the powder across the growing-medium surface rather than leaving it in one concentrated pile.
- Water thoroughly to move the microorganisms into the root zone.
- Repeat every one to two weeks during the flowering stage as needed.
Avoid placing concentrated powder directly against the plant stem.
Official RAW Flowering Schedule
The current RAW Grow and Bloom soil and coco chart applies Bloom Stage Microbes at 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per gallon during flowering weeks 1–6.
The chart does not include the product during flowering weeks 7–8. Growers following the complete RAW schedule should discontinue it at that point unless the current package or a crop-specific program directs otherwise.
Recommended Mixing Instructions
- Fill the reservoir or watering container with fresh water.
- Add and thoroughly mix the required base fertilizer.
- Add compatible supplements individually.
- Measure the completed solution’s EC or PPM.
- Check and adjust pH before introducing the microbial inoculant.
- Add RAW Microbes Bloom Stage last.
- Mix or circulate gently until evenly suspended.
- Apply the prepared solution promptly.
Never mix the microbial powder directly with concentrated fertilizer, pH adjusters or chemical sanitizers.
Water Quality
Strong residual chlorine or chloramine may reduce the viability of beneficial microorganisms. When necessary, prepare source water using a method appropriate for the local disinfectant and the selected biological program.
Do not assume that allowing water to stand will remove chloramine. Verify the water treatment method when using municipally treated water.
Maintain an appropriate root-zone pH, as extreme acidity or alkalinity can also reduce microbial activity.
Using It With RAW Bloom
RAW Microbes Bloom Stage can be used alongside RAW Bloom 3-12-12 or another compatible flowering base fertilizer.
Complete the fertilizer solution first, check nutrient strength and adjust pH. Add the microbial inoculant after the concentrated fertilizers and pH products have been fully dispersed.
The microbes supplement root-zone biology and do not replace the phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium or trace elements supplied by the base fertilizer.
Using It With Enzymes and Microbial Foods
RAW Microbes Bloom Stage may be incorporated with compatible enzyme and carbohydrate programs:
- RAW Enzymes: Helps break complex organic material into simpler compounds.
- RAW Cane Molasses: Provides an available carbohydrate food source for microbial activity.

Products to Avoid in the Same Solution
Avoid applying RAW Microbes Bloom Stage at the same time as products intended to sterilize or disinfect the root zone, including:

- Chlorine-based sanitizers
- Ozone treatments
- Strong oxidizing agents
- Broad-spectrum disinfectants
- Incompatible fungicides or bactericides
If a sanitation treatment is required, complete that treatment and follow its directions before reintroducing beneficial microorganisms.
Hydroponic System Considerations
RAW Microbes Bloom Stage may be used in biologically managed hydroponic systems, but the powder forms a suspension rather than a perfectly clear solution.
For reliable operation:
- Maintain strong circulation and aeration.
- Monitor dissolved oxygen where applicable.
- Inspect filters and emitters regularly.
- Avoid extremely fine filtration that immediately removes the inoculant.
- Use mixed solutions promptly.
- Watch for excessive biofilm, odors, cloudiness or rapid pH changes.
- Clean reservoirs and irrigation components between crops.
The product is generally not appropriate for a deliberately sterile hydroponic program unless the grower is intentionally transitioning to biological root-zone management.
