‘Amish’ melon was first offered in the Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook in 1983. Oval fruits are 9" long and weigh 4-7 pounds. Sweet orange flesh is very juicy with full muskmelon flavor and a rather thick rind. Produces good crops under almost any conditions at Heritage Farm headquarters in northeast Iowa.

Melons are traditionally eaten raw or fresh. Top a slice of melon with a dash of salt and serve with any meal or on its own!

Melon pairs nicely with both sweet and savory flavors so you can combine it with other fruits in a salad or toss with mint, feta, and cured pork or bacon.
